For Syrian refugees, clocks serve as more than just timepieces. They represent a sense of continuity and connection to their past, a reminder of the lives they left behind. As they rebuild their lives in a new country, clocks act as a source of stability and comfort, grounding them in the present while providing a link to their homeland. In the face of displacement and loss, Syrian refugees often bring with them clocks that hold sentimental value – family heirlooms passed down through generations, gifts from loved ones, or mementos of happier times. These clocks become cherished possessions, serving as a tangible link to their heritage and culture.
