One popular game among Algerian children is called "Clocks." This game involves drawing a series of squares on the ground, resembling a clock face. Each square is then assigned a number from 1 to 12, representing the hours on a clock. One player is chosen as the "it" and stands in the center, while the other players stand on the numbered squares. The player in the center then calls out a number, and the player standing on that square must quickly run to another square before being caught. The game continues with players trying to avoid being tagged by the player in the center. "Clocks" is not only a fun game but also helps children improve their agility, speed, and decision-making skills. It also fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the players. In addition to "Clocks," Algerian children also enjoy playing traditional games like hopscotch, marbles, and hide-and-seek. These games have been passed down through generations and continue to be popular among children in Algeria today. Overall, the traditional games played by Algerian children not only provide entertainment but also contribute to their physical, cognitive, and social development. These games reflect the vibrant culture of Algeria and the importance of play in the lives of children.
